Fatemeh Sepehri's Brother: My Sister's Life is in Danger

Fatemeh Sepehri's brother, a prisoner under the Islamic Republic and a protester against Ali Khamenei's leadership, has announced that her health is in 'serious danger.' Asghar Sepehri posted on Twitter that his sister Fatemeh Sepehri has lost 'about 15 kilograms' since her arrest on September 21, despite not being on a hunger strike. He further explained that in the past 48 hours, she has also experienced 'intestinal bleeding' in addition to post-surgery pain from her 'hand surgery.' Fatemeh Sepehri, a political activist and one of the signatories of the '14th Statement' calling for Ali Khamenei's resignation from leadership, has been sentenced to '18 years in prison' by the Islamic Republic's judiciary and is currently imprisoned in Vakilabad prison in Mashhad. According to Asghar Sepehri, this protesting political prisoner was transferred to 'Imam Reza Hospital' on Tuesday, May 15, where she was examined by a 'gastroenterology specialist,' who recommended that she undergo 'immediate colonoscopy,' but unfortunately, she was transferred back to prison. Asghar Sepehri concluded his report on Fatemeh Sepehri's health status on his Twitter account by stating: 'We are extremely worried about her health.' On September 29, one day before her arrest to serve her sentence, Fatemeh Sepehri told the Persian section of 'Voice of America': 'The people do not want the Islamic Republic, and this time they will finish the job.' Fatemeh Sepehri's transfer from the hospital to prison; bone repair facilities are not available in prison. Fatemeh Sepehri's 18-year prison sentence has been confirmed. The hashtag '100 Influential Women' was ignited on International Women's Day in memory of Iran's freedom-seeking women. Five months after her arrest, Fatemeh Sepehri was sentenced to 18 years in prison. Fatemeh Sepehri warned the Islamic Republic officials: 'We will not rest until we reclaim our country and land.'
