Film Showing Hamas Crimes Has Been Screened 70 Times Worldwide

The news site Ynet reports that Israeli officials have screened a 47-minute film depicting some of the worst crimes committed on October 7, 70 times across 30 countries. According to the report, four screenings were arranged solely for the New York Times editorial staff, including at foreign offices, and two screenings were organized for White House staff. Among those watching the film are the heads of the CIA and MI5, as well as leaders from other Western intelligence agencies. Approximately 1,000 people have viewed the film so far. The film, primarily compiled from body camera footage of militants killed, is used as part of Israel's public relations campaign to justify its severe response in Gaza and the necessity of eliminating Hamas. Ynet reports that there are also indications that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is considering releasing the film to the public, a move opposed by some victim families. Among them is Sabine Tasa, whose husband is seen in the film jumping on a grenade to save their child. Gil Tasa and their son Or were killed. She tells Ynet, 'I do not want it [the film] to be released. I will never agree to that... I honor their lives, not their deaths.' Hamas killed at least 1,400 people, most of whom were civilians, in its terrorist attack on October 7 and kidnapped about 240 Israelis and foreign nationals, including children, women, and the elderly. The United States, Canada, the European Union, Japan, Israel, and several other countries have classified Hamas as a terrorist organization.
