The intense Democratic attacks on Trump come just a week before the election. In the text of the President's remarks released by the White House, he stated, 'The only trash I saw was the humiliation of Latinos by one of his (Trump's) supporters.' However, Donald Trump's campaign claims that Joe Biden referred to all Trump supporters as 'trash.' After the uproar over this matter, Joe Biden clarified that his focus was solely on the language and words used by a comedian at a Trump rally. A poll conducted on Tuesday, November 8, by Reuters and Ipsos shows that, with a margin of error, 44% of registered voters support Kamala Harris and 43% support Donald Trump. The campaign rallies for both candidates will be held on Wednesday in North Carolina. Kamala Harris will speak in the growing city center of the state, while Donald Trump will address supporters in Rocky Mount. Donald Trump won North Carolina in the 2020 election by a margin of 1.5%. The last Democratic candidate to win in this state was Barack Obama in 2008. However, since 2017, the governor of this state, Roy Cooper, has been a Democrat. Donald Trump's campaign claims that the participation of individuals who do not yet have U.S. citizenship in voting is a serious risk and electoral fraud. However, multiple investigations by state agencies and private research institutes have concluded that such a possibility is very weak. Nevertheless, the U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld Virginia's recent decision to remove about 1,600 individuals who may not yet have citizenship rights from the voter rolls. This decision, which the Biden administration has challenged, could bolster Trump's campaign claims. Residents of the western parts of North Carolina are still trying to rebuild their lives after the severe damage from last month's hurricane. Although some state officials, including Republicans, have praised the federal government's role in rebuilding the affected areas, Donald Trump and his campaign continue to repeat the false claim that the Biden administration allocated disaster relief funds to illegal immigrants. It is expected that the results of the presidential election in North Carolina will be announced at least a week or even longer after the voting takes place. The reason for this is the counting of absentee ballots, overseas ballots, and military personnel ballots, which may take up to 10 days. According to the state election commission, more than one-third of registered voters in North Carolina have already cast their ballots.
