Former FBI Director's Strong Allegations Against Trump in New Book

James Comey, the former head of the FBI, has made serious allegations against Donald Trump, the President of the United States, in a new book set to be released next week. The book, titled 'A Higher Loyalty,' is officially scheduled for release next Tuesday; however, excerpts published by American news agencies reveal that Comey claims the President 'does not care about the truth' and asks people to remain loyal to him. This comes despite Trump previously labeling Comey as a 'leaker' and stating he never asked Comey to pledge loyalty. According to American media, Comey also addresses very personal issues in his book, criticizing the 'President's hands, his height, and his skin color.' Trump dismissed Comey from the FBI about eleven months ago, and since then, political and verbal conflicts between the two have continued. Comey had served as FBI Director for four years before his dismissal. Trump stated that he fired Comey due to his 'incompetence' regarding the investigation into Hillary Clinton's emails. Clinton was Trump's electoral rival in the presidential election, and the investigation into her alleged use of a work email for personal matters is still open. At the time of his dismissal, Comey was investigating possible Russian interference in the presidential election that Trump won; Comey believes his firing is related to this investigation. Trump's campaign team has been accused of having contacts with Russia during the election. The President has repeatedly denied collusion with Russia and added that he is willing to testify under oath about his conversations with Comey. In his new book, Comey reiterates previous accusations, stating that Trump 'is not concerned about Russia's attack on American democracy.' Comey also reasserts the claim that Trump had contact with 'prostitutes' during a trip to Russia in 2013 and witnessed inappropriate behavior from them in a hotel room. This allegation was previously made by a British intelligence officer named Christopher Steele but has never been confirmed. Trump has consistently denied and refuted such claims. Comey states that since his firing, Trump has 'attempted for several months' to win Comey's loyalty, which has met with Comey's 'silence.' Trump and the White House have yet to respond to the content of this book. Trump has previously called Comey a 'liar and attention seeker.' After Comey's dismissal, Andrew McCabe became the acting head of the FBI, but his relationship with the government quickly soured.
