Gallant: The Cost of Threatening Israel is Heavy

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated on Tuesday that the country is conducting operations throughout the Middle East to impose costs on those who threaten Israel. According to Reuters, he did not directly refer to the attack on Monday (April 1) attributed to Israel on the Islamic Republic's consulate building, during which a group of Quds Force commanders were killed. Yoav Gallant said in a parliamentary committee, "We are currently in a multi-front war, and we witness this every day, including in recent days." He stated that Israel acts every day and everywhere to prevent its enemies from gaining power. The Israeli Defense Minister made it clear that for anyone who threatens Israel across the Middle East, "the cost of such actions will be heavy." In the early hours of the attack on the Islamic Republic's consulate in Damascus, the capital of Syria, on Monday, Hossein Akbari, the Islamic Republic's ambassador to Syria, acknowledged that several Iranian "military advisors" were killed in this attack attributed to Israel. In the Islamic Republic's government rhetoric, commanders and members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Syria and other regional countries are referred to as "military advisors." The public relations department of the Revolutionary Guard also confirmed yesterday the deaths of Mohammad Reza Zahidi and Mohammad Hadi Haj Rahimi and "five of their companions." A senior Revolutionary Guard member among the casualties of the "Israeli" attack was Mohammad Reza Zahidi, the "commander of the Guard in Syria and Lebanon." The Islamic Republic's ambassador in Damascus stated: Israel attacked the consulate with F-35s and six missiles.
