Global Passport Credibility; Iran's Open Data: The Islamic Republic Ranks 96th

The 'Open Data Iran' platform reported on the credibility of the Islamic Republic's passport and compared it with those of other countries, stating that over the past 15 years, 'while Iran's position in the passport credibility rankings has remained relatively stable and unchanged, many countries in the region have made significant progress.' According to the latest ranking by Henley & Partners, out of 199 countries worldwide, only 13 passports have less credibility than the Iranian passport, and some neighboring countries of Iran are competing with developed countries at the top of the rankings. The report adds that the most credible passport in the region belongs to the United Arab Emirates, allowing visa-free access to 180 countries, placing it 13th in the world. Israel follows with access to 161 countries, and Turkey with access to 116 countries, ranking 21st and 49th globally, respectively. The last three positions in the global rankings belong to Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan. Among regional countries, Iran ranks 96th, trailing these countries by a slight margin. The 'Open Data Iran' report indicates that with an Iranian passport, one can travel to 43 countries and tourist destinations without a visa, utilizing airport and electronic visa facilities. Most of these destinations are located in countries and islands in Asia, Oceania, Africa, and Central and South America.
