Hajizadeh: The U.S. Provided All Our Radar Information in 'Promised Response 2' to Israel

The commander of the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has claimed that Iran's second missile attack on Israel, known as 'Promised Response 2', occurred under conditions where 'all radar information' of Iran was integrated and provided to Israel via CENTCOM, the U.S. Central Command. Amir Ali Hajizadeh added on Tuesday, February 19, that 'if a ballistic missile were launched from Shiraz, the information would be transmitted to Israel and Jordan moments later through the Persian Gulf.' On October 1 of this year, Iran attacked Israel by firing dozens of ballistic missiles, but the only casualty from these attacks was a Palestinian worker in the West Bank. This operation followed the targeting of Hassan Nasrallah, the former Secretary-General of Hezbollah, and Abbas Nilforushan, the Deputy Operations Chief of the IRGC, by Israel in Lebanon. The first extensive missile attack by Iran on Israel also took place at midnight on April 14 in retaliation for an attack attributed to Israel on the Iranian consulate building in Damascus, which reportedly only resulted in the injury of a seven-year-old Arab girl in the Negev desert. Hajizadeh, referring to the launch of '160 drones' in the first attack and '200 missiles' in the second attack on Israel, claimed that 'the air defense capabilities of Israel, the U.S., Jordan, France, and Britain, along with regional radar capabilities and 203 fighter jets, confronted them.' He described the October 1 attack as 'the largest missile and drone attack in the world' and claimed that 'over 75% of our missiles hit their targets.' These statements from the IRGC Aerospace Commander come as reports from Western sources indicate that most of the missiles fired by Iran were intercepted, although some did hit residential areas and certain military bases in Israel. Previously, Bloomberg reported based on data from the Israeli Tax Authority that over a thousand residential units were damaged during this attack, with estimated damages ranging from $40 to $53 million. These figures do not include damage to state properties, including the 'Tel Nof' and 'Negev' air bases. In response to this extensive attack, Israel targeted several military centers of the Islamic Republic and, according to Western estimates, destroyed a significant portion of Iran's air defense system capabilities. Prior to this, in response to Iran's April 14 attack, Israel had also targeted a military base in Isfahan, which Iranian military officials confirmed after a several-month delay. Following Israel's second attack, Islamic Republic officials repeatedly promised a retaliatory attack, known as 'Promised Response 3', but no action has been taken so far. Hajizadeh also referred to this issue, claiming that 'Promised Response 3 will soon be realized.'
