Hamas Reports Meeting Between Ismail Haniyeh and Ali Khamenei

Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas's political bureau, recently traveled to Tehran and met with Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic. This news was announced by Osama Hamdan, Hamas's representative in Beirut. Hamdan also criticized the official positions of Arab states, stating that these positions do not align with the current events in Gaza. Following Hamas's terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, Haniyeh has increased his communications with Iranian officials. The Iranian Foreign Minister also had a phone call with Haniyeh on November 2. Concurrently, the Israeli army announced that Haniyeh is set to travel to Tehran. Haniyeh resides in Doha and had previously met with Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Iranian Foreign Minister, on November 1. While the leaders of the Islamic Republic express joy over Hamas's attack on Israel, they attempt to deny any connection to this aggression. However, the Israeli army continues to insist on cleansing Gaza of Hamas and targeted Haniyeh's family residence in Gaza with an airstrike on Saturday. The United States, Canada, the European Union, Japan, Israel, and several other countries have listed Hamas as a terrorist organization. Supported by the Islamic Republic, Hamas killed at least 1,400 people and took around 240 hostages in the October 7 attack on Israel. In response, Israel has resolutely aimed to eliminate Hamas and has begun air, sea, and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip. Rocket and drone attacks from Iranian proxies targeted U.S. positions. Five Arab countries urged Blinken for a ceasefire; Blinken stated that Israel has the right to defend itself. Reactions to Hassan Nasrallah's statements; some compared him to Hassan Rouhani after the rise in gasoline prices. The Israeli army bombed Haniyeh's house; there has been a decrease in Hamas's rocket attacks in the past 12 hours. Israel stated that it did not target a school in Gaza; it may have been damaged due to another attack. The German Vice Chancellor called for the destruction of Hamas.
