Head of Criminal Investigation Department in Khash Killed in 'Shooting by Unknown Individuals'

Hosseinali Piri, the head of the Criminal Investigation Department in Khash, Sistan and Baluchestan province, was killed on Friday afternoon, September 2, as a result of 'shooting by unknown individuals.' The Islamic Republic Police's news agency reported that this incident occurred at 14:47 on Friday as he was entering his home located on Behdasht Boulevard in Khash, where he was fatally shot in the chest and head. In this context, the 'Halosh' website reported that in recent weeks, he had engaged in 'harassment and violent detention' of Baluch citizens. Halosh added that on August 4 of this year, Hosseinali Piri had stormed a residential home in the Valiabad neighborhood of Khash and violently arrested two Baluch citizens after 'shooting, cursing, and using foul language.' Additionally, it is noted that Khash, located in Sistan and Baluchestan, is 185 kilometers from Zahedan. There are long queues for filling gas cylinders in Qasr-e Qand County, Sistan and Baluchestan. A government official stated that water for 700 villages in Sistan and Baluchestan is supplied by tanker. Two fuel carriers were killed in Qaen 'by military forces.' There are conflicting reports about an attack by Islamic Republic forces on a village in Khash. Security forces stormed a Sunni school in 'Rigan' County, Kerman, and arrested several teenagers 'without identification.'
