Heavy Israeli Attack on Houthi Infrastructure; Netanyahu: 'This is Just the Beginning'

The Israeli army announced on Thursday that it targeted several sites linked to the Iran-aligned Houthi movement in Yemen, including the international airport in Sanaa and three ports along the western coast. The attacks targeted the 'Hazezeh' and 'Ras Katib' power plants in Yemen, as well as military infrastructure in the ports of Hodeidah, Salif, and Ras Katib. Sources confirmed to the Jerusalem Post that the Israeli army's attacks on Sanaa and Hodeidah were conducted with the knowledge of the United States. These attacks coincided with a speech by Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of the Houthis, who spoke about the 'defeat of Tel Aviv' in confronting Yemen. Following the attacks, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated in a television interview regarding the Houthis that 'our work with them has just begun.' The Israeli Prime Minister also mentioned early Thursday that attacks on Iran's 'terrorist arm' would continue until the mission is completed. According to the Jerusalem Post, the targets of the attacks included the main runway of Sanaa International Airport, the control tower, and aircraft. Images released by Sky News Arabia show damage caused by fires at the airport. Israel claims these targets were being used for smuggling weapons from Iran to Yemen. Meanwhile, the head of the World Health Organization announced that he was at Sanaa airport during the bombing. Tedros Adhanom wrote on social media that the attack occurred while he was boarding a plane and that one of his crew members was injured. He also reported that at least two people were killed at Sanaa airport. Local media also reported two fatalities at Sanaa airport. Additionally, seven attacks were reported in Sanaa and three in Hodeidah, with dozens of Israeli aircraft observed in the sky. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz also recently stated that 'we will pursue all Houthi leaders, and no one will be safe from Israel.' The Israeli army emphasized in a statement that it considers the Houthi regime part of Iran's 'terror axis,' whose attacks on shipping and international routes continue to destabilize the region and the world.
