Hezbollah Launches 40 Rockets at Golan Heights, Houthis Fire Ballistic Missile at Central Israel, No Casualties Reported

The Israeli army announced that on Sunday morning, September 25, local time, a ballistic missile fired from Yemen by Houthi rebels, supported by the Islamic Republic, landed in an open area in central Israel without causing any casualties. The Israeli army stated that the sounds of explosions in the area were related to interceptors. This morning attack triggered sirens across central Israel, including at Israel's international airport. Israeli media broadcast images of passengers running towards safe rooms at Ben Gurion International Airport and taking shelter in the train. Images were also shown of what appeared to be a piece of a missile or interceptor that had landed on the escalator of the train station in the city of Modiin. The Israeli army stated that there was no change in civilian instructions following the ballistic missile attack from Yemen on Sunday morning. Meanwhile, in another report, the Israeli Defense Forces' Home Front Command announced that rocket sirens quickly sounded in the Upper Galilee and Golan Heights. The Israeli army reported that after the sirens sounded in the area, about 40 rockets were fired from Lebanon towards the Galilee and Golan Heights. Some of these rockets were intercepted by air defense systems, while the rest landed in open areas. According to the army, some of the rocket impacts in open areas caused fires. No casualties were reported in this attack. Hezbollah claimed responsibility for this attack. This Iranian-backed militant group stated that it bombarded an Israeli military base with dozens of Katyusha rockets in response to recent Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon, including a reported drone strike yesterday on a motorcycle in the coastal village of Sarafand south of Sidon. At the same time, Hebrew media sources reported that a drone fired from Lebanon exploded in the northern border city of Metula. Some reports indicate that the drone exploded before the sirens were activated. Since the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel on October 7 and the beginning of the Gaza war, Hezbollah has been engaged daily with Israeli forces in support of this Palestinian group. As a result of these conflicts, thousands of people have been displaced in the border areas of Lebanon and Israel. Additionally, Houthi rebels in Yemen have repeatedly attacked commercial ships in the Red Sea, presenting these attacks as a blockade against Israel and in support of the Palestinians, although most targeted ships have had no connection to Israel.
