Hezbollah Lebanon Reports on Equipping the Group with Iranian 'Precision' Missiles

The Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah Lebanon described Iranian missiles as the "only way to bring" the war with Israel onto its territory and announced the group's acquisition of Iranian-made "precision" missiles. Sheikh Naeem Qassem, in an interview with the Tasnim news agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, published on Sunday, December 2, stated: "The only way to bring the struggle to the enemy's land is through Iranian missiles for resistance against Israel." He further emphasized that "the Zionists are well aware that Hezbollah possesses precision missiles, and due to the capabilities Hezbollah has gained, the support of the Islamic Republic, and Hezbollah's readiness for any future war, this war will be harder for the Israelis." According to Tasnim, the precision missiles referred to by the Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah Lebanon are the "Fateh" missiles, which are described as the "most accurate Iranian missile." The report states that various models of this missile have ranges of "250 to 300 kilometers" and are equipped with advanced guidance and navigation systems, being guided until the end of their trajectory. The news agency noted that the error margin of the Fateh-110 missile is "less than 10 meters" and mentioned the "Persian Gulf" missile as part of the Fateh missile family that "may be in the possession of Hezbollah Lebanon." The Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah also stated that Iran has played a "fundamental role" in developing Hezbollah's missile capabilities and has provided "numerous trainings" to create "certain missile structures" for the group. Sheikh Qassem added: "When we talk about missile capability, it does not mean that only a number of Iranian missiles are transferred to the resistance, but all necessities related to the missiles, from their presence in Lebanon to the operations of transfer and preparation, training, learning how to launch and achieve goals, and the specialization of various individuals in using them are part of this capability." The Deputy Secretary-General also mentioned that Iran has collaborated with the Syrian government and army to establish missile facilities. Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the Aerospace Force of the IRGC, stated on Tuesday, November 19, that missile production factories in Syria are Iranian-made and that Iranian-designed missiles are produced in these factories. In another part of the interview, the Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah emphasized: "The importance of Iran's missile capability lies alongside the resistance forces in confronting the Zionist enemy in Lebanon and Palestine, which is why we have witnessed different missile capabilities in recent wars following Israel's invasion of Lebanon in 1982." He added: "It is said that the Fajr missile played a significant role in the resistance and the bombardment of Tel Aviv during the 22-day war and changed the equations of war in Gaza." Tasnim reported on Saturday, November 24, about the "Fajr" rockets that were reportedly used in the conflict between Palestinian armed groups and Israel in the Gaza Strip. The West Bank is under the control of the Palestinian Authority led by Mahmoud Abbas, which supports the peace process with Israel. The Gaza Strip is controlled by its rival group, Hamas, which has been besieged by Israel for several years and sees military confrontation as the way to resist this country. In recent weeks, the Fars and Tasnim news agencies, both affiliated with the IRGC, have published reports about Iran's missile capabilities to confront Israel. Fars, on Saturday, November 24, mentioned three types of Iranian missiles, "Shahab," "Qadr," and "Sajil," as the "main candidates for the destruction of Israel."
