Hezbollah Lebanon Vows to Avenge Attacks from Israel

Lebanese state media reported on Thursday, February 15, that the number of civilians killed in the country following two Israeli airstrikes has risen to 10. In response, Hezbollah Lebanon, which is supported by the Islamic Republic, has pledged to retaliate for the attacks that took place in the city of Nabatieh and a village in southern Lebanon. These airstrikes occurred on Wednesday, February 14, in response to rocket attacks from the Hezbollah militia that resulted in the death of an Israeli soldier. According to the Associated Press, the Lebanese news agency reported that part of a building was destroyed in Nabatieh, and seven members of a family, including a child, were killed. The report also stated that in the village of Sawaneh in southern Lebanon, a woman and her two young children were killed. The Associated Press noted that following the airstrikes on Wednesday, three Hezbollah militants were also killed. Meanwhile, Hassan Fadlallah, a senior Hezbollah official and member of the Lebanese parliament, told Reuters on Thursday that Israel 'will pay the price for these crimes.' Hezbollah Lebanon has supported Hamas militants by launching rocket attacks into northern Israel following the Hamas attacks on Israel on October 6. Hezbollah's attacks have faced military retaliation from Israel.
