Human Rights Sources: A Kolber Killed by Military Gunfire in Baneh

Human rights sources reported that a kolber was killed by military gunfire in the border areas of Baneh. The news agency 'Kurdpa', which covers news from Kurdish regions, wrote in a report that on the evening of Friday, October 7, following military gunfire in the border areas of Baneh, a kolber lost his life. 'Kurdpa' identified the individual as 'Mohammad Khaledi', 28 years old, stating that the military forces 'opened fire without prior warning' at this kolber. Kolbari in Iran is considered a 'job' performed by some citizens in border areas, primarily due to a lack of job opportunities and unfavorable economic conditions. The website 'Kolber News' had also reported on October 1 that in the first six months of the year 1402, a total of 85 kolbers were killed or injured in the border areas and inter-road paths of the provinces of West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, and Kermanshah. According to this report, of this number, 13 kolbers were killed and 72 were injured, with 77 of the 85 kolbers who were killed or injured losing their lives or health due to direct gunfire from the Islamic Republic's military forces. An annual report by a human rights activist group in Iran for the year 1401 indicates that last year, 21 kolbers were killed and 133 were injured by border and police forces. Additionally, 28 other kolbers faced accidents due to climatic and geographical conditions such as frostbite and falls from heights, with 26 injured and 2 fatalities.
