The Telegram channel 'Voice of Alzahra Students' reported that the environment of Alzahra University has become more security-oriented with the installation of 'facial recognition' cameras at the university's entrance and exit in Tehran. According to this report, students are now monitored for entry and exit from the university and are required to pass through 'facial recognition' gates. The channel noted that the allocation of budget for these gates and cameras comes at a time when Alzahra University students have repeatedly protested against poor dormitory conditions and low-quality food. Recently, the publication of a graduation ceremony at Alzahra University in Bushehr caused controversy, and university officials promised to take action against the students involved. Pressure on student activists critical of the government and increased control in university environments have intensified in recent months.
