Investigations into the Las Vegas Shooting and the Motives of the Perpetrator Continue

Police have obtained new information regarding Stephen Paddock, the perpetrator of the massacre in Las Vegas that killed dozens, although his motives or reasons for the attack remain unclear. Meanwhile, it has been reported that 50 of the injured are still in critical condition. Recent reports indicate that Paddock transferred $100,000 to an account outside the United States just days before the attack. Additionally, police have found at least two cameras, one outside the hotel room where Paddock was staying and one inside, suggesting he may have used them to monitor the approach of law enforcement. Investigations into the 64-year-old man's girlfriend have also progressed, with the Las Vegas police stating that the FBI is working to bring her back to the U.S. for questioning. Marilou Danley, 59, was outside the country at the time of the attack and has been in the Philippines since Tuesday. Paddock had sent $100,000 to the Philippines days before the massacre. According to U.S. media reports, an informed official has stated that investigators are looking into this matter as well as reports that the shooter gambled up to $10,000 a day. Recent investigations also show that Paddock was highly prepared, having transferred over 20 firearms and large amounts of ammunition to his hotel room, and installed cameras inside and outside the room to be alerted to the approach of police and security forces.
