Invitation Extended to Daei and Mahdavikia for the 50th Anniversary Ceremony of AFC

In the 50th anniversary ceremony of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), which will be held on May 8 (Saturday, 19 Ordibehesht) in Kuala Lumpur, Mehdi Mahdavikia and Ali Daei, prominent Iranian football players who have also won titles as the continent's best players, will be present. According to the Iranian Students' News Agency (ISNA), Sepp Blatter, the President of FIFA, Franz Beckenbauer, the President of the organizing committee for the 2006 World Cup in Germany, and the presidents and secretaries-general of the football confederations of Africa, America, Europe, and Oceania are among the other notable figures who will attend this ceremony. Officials from the forty-five federations under the AFC umbrella have also been invited to this event, which will take place at the Berjaya Hotel. In addition to Mahdavikia and Daei, other top Asian players such as Hidetoshi Nakata and Shinji Ono will also be present. Among the special programs of this ceremony is the recognition of twelve founding members of the AFC who will be honored for their significant efforts in shaping the Asian Football Confederation. It is noteworthy that the AFC was established in 1954 in Manila.
