Iran in the Orbit of Major Gas Discoveries

For years, Iran has been recognized on the global energy map for an important reality: a country with one of the largest proven natural gas reserves in the world. Iran ranks second in gas reserves and, depending on the year and statistical basis, holds about 16 to 18 percent of the world's proven gas reserves. However, Iran's significance is not limited to what has been identified underground so far; the exploration process indicates that a significant portion of the country's geological capacity is still being identified. In the fourteenth government, this path has not only continued but has also entered a new phase with the discovery of new fields.
