Iranian Child Becomes Victim of Domestic Torture

An Iranian child has once again fallen victim to domestic violence, as a family crime has deprived a child of their right to life. The Fayyaz Bakhsh Hospital in Tehran witnessed the transfer and hospitalization of a lifeless and weak child who had been severely beaten by their mother. In recent months, incidents of domestic violence against Iranian children have significantly increased, sometimes resulting in heartbreaking deaths. For instance, just a few days ago, an enraged father dismembered his 14-year-old daughter with multiple knife strikes and severely injured his other 16-year-old daughter. According to ISNA news agency, 9-year-old Omid was transferred to the emergency department of Fayyaz Bakhsh Hospital on Saturday after being rendered lifeless by blows from a whip or something similar to a cable. This child lay on a hospital bed under artificial respiration, having suffered brain death, and the medical staff expressed despair over the continuation of his life; 'Omid' does not breathe, the whip blows and injuries have reduced his consciousness level from a standard of 15 to a level of 3, and only his heart remains healthy, perhaps to resume the beating of memories of life.
