Iranian Refugees' Hunger Strike in Brussels, Belgium

I would like to inform respected Iranians that in Belgium, starting from June 3, 2003 (Friday), several Iranian refugees who have lost all their benefits due to the negative response from the country's asylum office have gone on a hunger strike. These Iranians, numbering 16, have been protesting by consuming only water since last Friday to make their voices heard by the authorities. So far, no official from the asylum office or the United Nations has even visited the site, which is quite concerning. It is worth mentioning that 8 of these individuals are women, one of whom is pregnant and has been hospitalized twice in the last two days due to the lack of fetal movement. The others are also not in good condition. This hunger strike is taking place in Brussels at a church near the Brussels courthouse. Iranian residents in Belgium are gathering in support of these vulnerable Iranians on Wednesday in front of this church from 10 AM to 10 PM. These Iranians have lost all their rights and benefits, which they were receiving monthly, due to the negative response from the asylum office. All Iranian residents in Belgium are requested to gather in front of this church on Wednesday to express their support for this movement.
