The American newspaper Wall Street Journal and the spokesperson for the Israeli army simultaneously pointed the finger at the Islamic Republic for the October 7 Hamas attacks on the Israeli people on Wednesday. The Wall Street Journal reported on November 25, citing informed sources, that 'the Islamic Republic provided special military training to about 500 Hamas forces and other militants stationed in the Gaza Strip prior to the Palestinian militants' attack on Israel.' The newspaper added, 'This training took place in September of this year on Iranian soil and was supervised by the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, with Ismail Qaani, the commander of the Quds Force, and some senior figures from Palestinian militant groups also visiting these training sessions.' Simultaneously, Daniel Hagari, the spokesperson for the Israeli army, stated, 'Orders come from one place, and that is nowhere but Iran,' adding, 'The Islamic Republic has helped Hamas with money, training, and the sending of weapons and technical knowledge before the war, and is now also providing intelligence support to this group.' He continued, 'The Tehran regime, which supports this Palestinian militant group and provides them with assistance and training both before and after the October 7 Hamas attacks on Israel, has fully supported this group.' The coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council stated on Monday, November 25, during a press briefing that 'the Iranian regime continues to support Hamas and Hezbollah and, in some cases, actively facilitates these attacks.' John Kirby added, 'The Islamic Republic also provokes other parties that intend to exploit the conflict for their own benefit or for Iran's benefit.'
