Iran's U-23 football team defeated China with a score of 2-1. The national teams of Iran and China faced each other in the return leg of the Athens Olympic qualifying matches at 5:30 PM today, Friday, April 16, at Azadi Stadium in Tehran, where both teams ended the first half with a 1-1 draw. According to ISNA, the Iranian U-23 players entered the match aiming for a valuable victory after losing the first leg 3-1 to China, benefiting from home advantage. Despite some scattered attacks from the Chinese in the early minutes of the game, the ball was mostly in the possession of the Iranian players during most moments of the first half.
