Iran's Volleyball Representative Eliminated from World Club Championship

Iran's volleyball representative in the World Club Championship was eliminated after three consecutive defeats. In this tournament hosted by Poland, Bank Sarmayeh lost all three of its matches, finishing fourth in its group. Under the guidance of Mustafa Karkhaneh, the team lost its first match 3-2 to ZAKSA from Poland, despite winning the first and second sets. From Group B, Zenit Kazan (Russia) and Skra Belchatow (Poland) advanced to the semifinals. Milad Ebadipour, a member of the Iranian national team, is part of Skra Belchatow, which will now be among the top four clubs in the world. On the final day of the group stage, Bank Sarmayeh, which had already been eliminated in the second game, ended its participation with a 3-0 loss to Lube (Italy). From Group A, Lube Italy with eight points and Sada Cruzeiro Brazil with five points advanced to the semifinals. In Group B, the two already qualified teams, Zenit Kazan and Skra Belchatow, faced each other, with the Russian representative winning 3-0 under coach Alekno. In the semifinals, Lube Italy will face Skra Belchatow, and Zenit Kazan will compete against Cruzeiro. Mustafa Karkhaneh, head coach of Bank Sarmayeh, stated after his team's elimination that this tournament was the best experience for them and that they could achieve better results next year. Bank Sarmayeh will participate in the Asian Championship and hopes to return to this level. Polish setter Zygadlo, who played for Bank Sarmayeh, told reporters that as an Asian team, they do not have enough interaction with European or global teams, making it very difficult to compete against players from teams like Cruzeiro.
