The commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force has warned Israel to withdraw from southern Lebanon, saying it could otherwise face a repeat of its 2000 withdrawal from the area, News.Az reports, citing Al Jazeera.
Esmail Qaani made the remarks in a post on social media, stating that if Israel continued what he described as its “aggression and occupation,” it would eventually be forced out in “humiliation and defeat.”
