IRGC Warns Workers to Evacuate US- and Israel-Linked Industries
TEHRAN, Mar 27: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has urged workers employed in industrial facilities with links to the United States or Israel to immediately leave their workplaces, warning of ongoing retaliatory operations in the region, according to Iranian state media IRNA.
The warning comes amid heightened military escalation following reported strikes by the United States and Israel on industrial and nuclear-related sites inside Iran, including a heavy-water facility and a yellowcake production plant. Iranian authorities said the targeted facilities were struck during operations reported on Friday, though the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran stated there was no risk of nuclear contamination.
Separately, IRGC Aerospace Force commander Seyed Majid Moosavi issued a stark message on social media platform X, warning of intensified retaliatory action against U.S. and Israeli interests in the region.
“You tested us once before; the world has once again seen that you yourselves started playing with fire and attacking infrastructure. This time the equation will no longer be ‘an eye for an eye’, just wait,” he wrote.
In a statement carried by Iranian media, the IRGC described the evacuation warning as a precautionary measure linked to what it called “retaliatory operations underway,” without providing further operational details.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Friday that Israel struck two of Iran’s largest steel factories, a power plant, nuclear-related sites, and other key infrastructure in a series of attacks reported earlier in the day. In a post on X, Araghchi alleged that Israel acted in coordination with the United States and said the strikes contradicted what he described as an extended diplomatic deadline set by the U.S. president, warning that Iran would exact a “heavy price” for what he called Israeli actions. The reported strikes came hours after Israel said it would “escalate and expand” its campaign against Tehran, amid a broader escalation in regional tensions. Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization stated that the attacks posed no risk of contamination, according to state media, while the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned of retaliatory operations and urged workers at industrial facilities with U.S. ties to leave their workplaces immediately.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in its own statement that it had targeted Iran’s Arak Heavy Water Plant in central Iran, describing it as a key facility linked to plutonium production. The IDF said it “will not allow the Iranian regime to continue advancing its nuclear weapons program,” which it described as a threat to Israel and global security.
The situation marks a sharp escalation in regional tensions, with both sides issuing warnings of further action amid fears of broader conflict spreading across the Middle East.
