IRNA Reports Arrest of 'Two Perpetrators of Attack on Iranian Embassy' in London

IRNA news agency reports that two perpetrators of the attack on the Iranian embassy in London have been arrested by the police. According to the report, on Saturday, October 14, the assailants wrote the phrase 'Restart' on the wall at the embassy's entrance, and the police prevented further actions by the two individuals. In this context, a video was sent to Radio Farda showing a person spraying 'Restart' on the entrance door of the Iranian embassy in London and also throwing stones at the embassy's window. IRNA did not disclose the identities of the two arrested individuals but noted that 'the attackers of this group had recently caused significant damage to the Islamic center in Manchester and published a video of this attack on social media.' Meanwhile, the head of the office protecting the interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the United States previously stated that 'at five in the morning' on Saturday, October 14, 'some individuals' attacked this office in Washington, breaking windows with a shotgun and writing slogans on the office's walls. According to IRNA, Mehdi Atifet added: 'Some of the bullets entered the building. New graffiti has also been seen on the walls of the Iranian interests protection building. Traces of one of the newly established anti-regime sects can be seen in the graffiti.' The head of the Iranian interests office in Washington also told IRNA that the police arrived at the scene and took action to document and report the incident. According to Mr. Atifet, this incident has been unprecedented in the past 31 years. This comes as reports emerged last week about the burning of the 'Javad al-Aimah Mosque' in Tehran. In this regard, a day after the commander of Greater Tehran's police announced that the perpetrators of the arson at the 'Javad al-Aimah' mosque in Tehran had been arrested, a video of the burning of the door of a mosque named 'Ali ibn Abi Talib,' reportedly located in the city of Tabriz, was published on social media. Hossein Rahimi, the head of Greater Tehran's police, told the media last Wednesday that the burning of a mosque door in Tehran and attacks on several banks were carried out by a number of youths 'influenced by social media and satellite channels.' In a video released on Thursday evening local time, an unidentified individual first writes the phrase 'Restart' on the wall of the mosque and then sets fire to a door marked 'Ali ibn Abi Talib Mosque' using flammable materials. The video ends with the slogan 'Long Live Hosseini.' Mohammad Hosseini, a former presenter of Iranian state television and a comedian who has lived abroad for several years, has formed a campaign called 'Restart,' calling for attacks on centers such as banks, mosques, and Basij bases. He has declared the aim of these actions to be an attempt to change the regime of the Islamic Republic.
