Islamic Republic Affiliates Threaten Protesters Against Ibrahim Raisi's Event in the U.S. with Death

Siamak Aram, the director of the "National Solidarity Group of Iran," published a video on his Instagram page on Saturday, June 5, showing that "affiliates of the Islamic Republic" threatened him and other protesters opposing the event for Ibrahim Raisi with "death." This event took place on May 22 at the Islamic Education Center in Washington, Maryland, United States. Mr. Aram wrote: "On U.S. soil, in Maryland, just minutes away from the White House, the State Department, and Congress, affiliates of the Islamic Republic threatened me and other opponents at Ibrahim Raisi's event with death," adding: "They are still thirsty for more bloodshed among the people of Iran, even outside of Iran." This university professor and political activist emphasized that these "threats" from the affiliates of the Islamic Republic "must stop" and noted: "They are angry and have all the resources, communications, international compromises, and silence regarding their human rights violations, but they are still furious at the voices and movements that they cannot silence or stop." He wrote: "It has been over 19 months since the start of the 'Women, Life, Freedom' revolution, and this revolution has not gone silent," adding: "The Islamic regime in Iran must go, and it will go, and this resistance and struggle will continue." Siamak Aram also reported that "all available videos and information have been sent to the relevant authorities" and emphasized: "We will continue independent investigations to reveal any additional information to keep people safe from the threats of the Islamic Republic of Iran and its efforts to silence us." Previously, supporters of the Islamic Republic attacked a group of protesters coinciding with the memorial ceremony for Ibrahim Raisi in Wembley, London, on Friday, June 4, which involved protests from several Iranian civil and political activists. According to the Metropolitan Police, four people were lightly injured in this clash, and one person was arrested on suspicion of causing a disturbance and violence. Reports indicate that the clash occurred outside the venue of the event, leading to the dispatch of police and emergency services to the location. Meanwhile, Fox News reported on Saturday about a memorial ceremony held in an Islamic center in Michigan, United States, on Thursday, June 3, for Ibrahim Raisi and other officials of the Islamic Republic who were killed in a helicopter crash last Sunday. This American news network noted that Ibrahim Raisi is referred to as the "Butcher of Tehran," stating that such ceremonies have faced negative reactions and anger from some groups due to the Islamic Republic's ties to global terrorism. The memorial for Raisi and other officials of the Islamic Republic in the U.S. comes as opponents of the regime have organized protests in various cities around the world against such ceremonies. There was a significant police presence in London during the event for Ibrahim Raisi coinciding with the protests from opponents of the Islamic Republic. Protests against the Islamic Republic were also held in Montreal, Canada, following the death of Ibrahim Raisi. Iranian celebrations in London commemorating the death of Ibrahim Raisi included a "Dance of Resistance" in front of the British Prime Minister's office. Reactions from Prince Reza Pahlavi to the attack by supporters of the Islamic Republic on protesters in London emphasized that patriots will not be intimidated.
