Ismail Qaani Arrives in Beirut for Meeting with Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah

Ismail Qaani, the commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, arrived in Beirut on Wednesday, August 9, for a meeting with Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. This visit follows Qaani's trip to Syria. The news agency 'i24' reported, citing 'Walla News', that the commander of the Quds Force is responsible for covert missions outside of Iran and supports proxy forces against Israel, particularly the 'terrorist organization Hezbollah' in the region. The Lebanese Army also held a field visit on Tuesday, August 8, with representatives from the United Nations Security Council in the disputed blue border area between Lebanon and Israel. This international team visited all 13 disputed border points, especially the Shebaa Farms, the town of Qajar, and the barbed wire fence constructed by the Israeli army. Lebanon claims that each of these points is Lebanese territory occupied by Israel. The newspaper 'Al-Akhbar', supported by Hezbollah, reported that it intends to ask the UN Security Council to limit the movement of its forces in the south of the country.
