Israel Arrests Four for Allegedly Smuggling Iranian-Made Explosives

Israel's internal security agency, Shin Bet, announced on Thursday that four Arab Israeli citizens were arrested due to their connections with Hezbollah in Lebanon and for trafficking ammunition and drugs into Israel. The Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post reported that they possessed Iranian-made explosives. It is said that these four individuals were part of a smuggling ring involved in receiving and distributing illegal drugs from Hezbollah. Israeli officials state that Hezbollah manages a global drug network as part of its financial operations. The four Arab Israeli citizens, aged between 28 and 39, are suspected of smuggling high-grade explosives through Hezbollah. According to the Jerusalem Post, security forces discovered and seized two Iranian-made explosives and another powerful bomb from the suspects. One of the accused intended to use this device for a criminal plot. Shin Bet stated, 'This incident once again demonstrates the efforts of terrorist elements from Hezbollah and Iran to exploit Arab citizens of Israel for security activities' against Israel. Experts express concern over the activities of 19 proxy groups of the Islamic Republic around Israel. An Israeli expert told Voice of America that Hezbollah has different factions negotiating within the organization.
