Israel Reduces Restrictions in Northern Regions of the Country

On Saturday, November 12, the Israeli army updated its guidelines in certain areas, changing the level of activities in the Galilee region and southern Golan from 'minor' to 'full'. Israel states that after 'new assessments', it decided to reduce restrictions in areas in northern Israel. These changes occur despite repeated rocket and drone attacks from Hezbollah. Accordingly, restrictions in designated areas are reduced to allow gatherings of up to 2,000 people. Hezbollah Lebanon unilaterally began its rocket and drone attacks on northern Israel the day after the terrorist attack on October 7, 2023. In response, Israel has conducted severe attacks against this group's positions in Lebanon and Syria, killing hundreds of members of this Iran-backed group, including its leader and senior military commanders such as Hassan Nasrallah, Foad Shukr, Ibrahim Aqil, and Hashem Safi al-Din. Several countries, including the United States, Israel, Germany, Serbia, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, and Australia, have recognized Hezbollah as a terrorist organization. The designation of Hezbollah Lebanon as a terrorist organization means that there is no distinction made between its political and military branches, labeling both as terrorist entities. Axios: Israel has arrested a senior Hezbollah commander in northern Lebanon. At least 11 Israelis were injured due to Hezbollah's rocket fire on the city of Tyre. Israeli attacks on Hezbollah and Hamas positions coincide with U.S. efforts for a ceasefire. The U.S. Secretary of State announced an agreement between Israel and Lebanon to implement Resolution 1701. Hezbollah's rocket fire on northern Israel has left five dead.
