Israel Targets Hamas Positions in Northern Gaza and Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli army targeted positions of the Hamas militant group in northern Gaza Strip and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon near its northern border early Wednesday, November 25. Meanwhile, the army and Shin Bet (Israeli Security Agency) announced in a joint statement that Taysir Mabsher, commander of Hamas's Khan Younis brigade, was killed in an airstrike on Gaza. The Israeli army stated that he was previously the head of Hamas's naval forces and held several positions related to the group's weapon manufacturing. The army and Shin Bet said in their joint statement that Taysir Mabsher, with extensive experience as a commander, was responsible for 'leading terrorist attacks.' He was identified as a close associate of Mohammed Deif, the commander of Hamas's military wing. Additionally, the VOA reporter in Israel reported that at least five missile sites of the Hezbollah militant group in southern Lebanon were targeted. According to him, tensions at the Lebanon border continue as leaders of Hezbollah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad held their first meeting since the war began on October 7 in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. A UN official stated that the aid received in Gaza is a drop in the ocean of the urgent needs of the people. The mother of two hostages held by Hamas urges them to return to 'Compassionate Islam.' Eight Syrian soldiers were killed in Israeli airstrikes. Efforts to stop the war or establish a ceasefire continue as aid efforts to Gaza persist.
