Israel: The UN Rolled Out the Red Carpet for Raisi, Alive or Dead

Gilad Erdan, Israel's representative to the United Nations, on Tuesday, May 22, shared a video stating that "today, the UN lowered its flag in honor of the President and Foreign Minister of the serial killer in Iran." He called the UN's action "unbelievable" and said one must see the video to "believe" it. The Israeli representative added that this act goes beyond being shameful and is an insult to true human rights supporters around the world. Gilad Erdan stated: "Next time the UN issues a statement on human rights, remember that this is the same organization that rolled out the red carpet for these mass murderers in life and death." Earlier, several European lawmakers criticized the expression of "solidarity" from European officials regarding the helicopter accident involving Ebrahim Raisi and his entourage. Meanwhile, Indian media reported on Tuesday that the Indian flag was half-mast over the President's Palace in New Delhi in commemoration of Ebrahim Raisi's death. Ebrahim Raisi, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Foreign Minister, and their companions were killed when their helicopter crashed into a mountain in East Azerbaijan province. Numerous videos from inside and outside Iran show groups of Iranians expressing joy over Ebrahim Raisi's death. Political prisoners received five days of "public food" for Raisi's death; there were attacks on prisoners in Karaj due to expressions of joy. The helicopter carrying Raisi was "completely destroyed"; intelligence agencies prevented the release of documents and remnants of the incident. The head of the Red Crescent Society stated that the issue of foreign assistance in locating the helicopter carrying Raisi is a "rumor." Criticism is increasing regarding the campaign by officials and state media in spreading false news about the crash of Raisi's helicopter.
