Israeli Air and Ground Attacks on Gaza; 'One Journalist' Killed

Following Israeli air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip, several individuals were killed and some were arrested. The Israeli army stated that in these attacks, a number of militants were neutralized and some were also detained. According to health sources from the Hamas government, at least 28 Palestinians, including a journalist from Al Jazeera and several medical aid workers, were killed during these attacks. The Israeli army has announced that it is investigating the report regarding the death of this journalist. Hamas has refrained from announcing its casualty figures, and Palestinian health sources under Hamas do not distinguish between their militants and civilians in their casualty statistics. According to Reuters, during one of the Israeli airstrikes, several Hamas operatives responsible for protecting aid convoy trucks were also killed and injured. Israel also stated that it targeted three residential units in Gaza belonging to militants who were planning imminent attacks on Israel. During the terrorist attack on October 7 of last year by Hamas against Israel, over 1200 people, mostly civilians, were killed, and more than 250 others, including women, children, and the elderly, were taken hostage. In response to this attack, Israel launched an offensive against Gaza with the aim of destroying Hamas and recovering the kidnapped hostages. The U.S. National Security Advisor stated that Hamas is not ready to negotiate over the names of the hostages. Israeli attacks in Gaza left '35 dead.' The UN General Assembly called for a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of all hostages. Reports indicate that Hamas has provided a list of hostages for a potential deal with Israel.
