Israeli Air Force Commander: In Case of War with Lebanon, the Term 'Attack' Will Not Describe Israel's Actions

Major General Tomer Bar, the commander of the Israeli Air Force, stated on Thursday, February 8, that in the event of a war with Lebanon, Israel would target hundreds of locations simultaneously, making the term 'attack' insufficient to describe what would occur. He mentioned that dozens of Israeli aircraft are currently flying over Lebanon, adding that 'dozens of planes can increase to hundreds within minutes of receiving orders and carry out all missions.' The Israeli army also announced in a separate statement that soldiers who were engaged in combat in Gaza are now training for battles on the northern front. The statement noted: 'The 36th Division, the offensive division of the Northern Command, has completed extensive combat operations in the Gaza Strip, significantly damaging the capabilities of the Hamas terrorist organization, and is currently increasing its readiness for operational plans against the northern enemy, both defensively and offensively.' Lebanese and Arab media reported on Thursday, February 8, the death of 'Abbas al-Dabis,' a military commander of Hezbollah Lebanon, known as 'Haj Abdullah,' in an Israeli drone strike on a vehicle in the Nabatieh region of Lebanon. Israel has previously targeted several prominent commanders of Islamic militant groups affiliated with the Islamic Republic in Syria and Lebanon, stating that if Hezbollah enters the war against Israel alongside Hamas, it would respond with a 'painful response' and that all of Lebanon would be involved in the conflict.
