Israeli Ambassador's Persian Message to the People of Iran: Don't Miss This Historic Opportunity

Danny Danon, Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, referred to recent developments in the Middle East and urged the people of Iran in Persian not to miss this "rare historic opportunity" and to "take action." Danon's remarks came following a UN Security Council meeting on Wednesday, November 28, to discuss the situation in the Middle East. The Israeli ambassador addressed the Iranian people in Persian, stating: "We know the cost of freedom and the courage required for it. Your struggle is not limited to yourselves; it encompasses the lives of millions of others who have been destabilized and destroyed by the regime." Danon added: "The power to rebuild a resilient land with a rich history and culture is in your hands." He also urged UN Security Council members to take advantage of the changing dynamics in the Middle East, including the weakening of Hamas and Hezbollah, groups supported by the Islamic Republic, and the fall of Bashar al-Assad in Syria, to prevent the Islamic Republic from becoming nuclear and to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization. Danon emphasized to the UN Security Council member states: "Now is the time for action." He continued: "The Middle East is no longer what it used to be. We will continue to destroy Hamas and eliminate any threats from them. Hezbollah is no longer the violent and dangerous organization it once was, and the Assad regime has fallen." Danon stated: "This is an extraordinary opportunity for the council and the world to prevent the formation of a nuclear Iran and to designate the IRGC as a terrorist organization."
