Israeli Army Conducts Drill in Preparation for Potential 'War' in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli army recently conducted a logistical drill as part of its preparations for a potential ground attack on Lebanon. Since Israel's military response to the Hamas and Islamic Jihad attack on October 7, Hezbollah, which is financially and militarily supported by the Islamic Republic, has fired rockets into northern Israel, prompting military responses from Israel. According to the 'Times of Israel,' the Israeli army stated that during this drill, forces practiced the delivery of equipment, water, fuel, and ammunition to troops in Lebanon in a wartime scenario. The drill included 'loading and unloading equipment from Air Force planes and transferring equipment using ground vehicles' to the front lines. The Israeli army conducted this drill simultaneously with military operations in the Gaza Strip, where Israel aims to eradicate Hamas. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant previously stated that in response to daily Hezbollah attacks on northern Israel, Israel would increase its attacks on this Iranian-backed group even in the event of a potential temporary ceasefire in Gaza. He noted that Hezbollah 'is not capable of finding replacements for the commanders we are eliminating.' Although Hezbollah has not engaged in an all-out war, it has lost over 200 of its forces, a significant blow to the group since the comprehensive war between Israel and Hamas.
