Israeli Army Reports the Death of Several Hezbollah Commanders in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli army announced that following airstrikes on Tuesday, three Hezbollah fighters, including two of their commanders, were killed in southern Lebanon. According to this announcement, 'Mohammad Hossein Shahouri,' 'commander of the missile unit in the western region of the Resistance Forces,' who was directing missile launches towards Israeli territory from central and western Lebanon, was killed in an airstrike in Kfar Dounin in southern Lebanon. Mahmoud Ibrahim Fazlallah, 'from Hezbollah's missile unit,' was also killed in the same airstrike. According to the Israeli army, Ismail Youssef Baz, 'commander of Hezbollah's coastal section in the Ain Ebel area,' is another Hezbollah commander who was killed in a separate Israeli attack in southern Lebanon. The Israeli army had previously stated that an Israeli fighter jet targeted and killed Ismail Youssef Baz early on Tuesday, April 17, and that warplanes bombed several 'military structures of Hezbollah and terrorist elements' in the areas of Ain Baal, Al-Alam Al-Chaib, Haniin, and Yaroun in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah confirmed the deaths of its three fighters without providing details about the circumstances of their deaths or their ranks. Israel targeted one of Hezbollah's commanders in Lebanon, and the Israeli army stated that dozens of Hamas positions in Gaza were also targeted. Sirens sounded along the northern border, and the Israeli army claimed to have targeted 'a military complex' of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah retaliated by targeting Israeli positions in the Golan Heights with dozens of rockets, marking the death of another Hezbollah commander in an Israeli attack.
