Israeli Army Spokesman: We Are Prepared to Counter Military Aggression from the Islamic Republic

Daniel Hagari, the spokesman for the Israeli army, stated on Saturday, April 15, in a statement regarding the "interventions of the Islamic Republic" in the war in Gaza and its impact on events in the Middle East, that Israel is ready to counter military aggression from the Islamic Republic and respond to it. He emphasized that the Islamic Republic "provides financial, educational, and military assistance to its terrorist proxy forces throughout the Middle East and beyond," adding: "Hamas, supported by the Islamic Republic, began the war on October 7 (October 15). Hezbollah in Lebanon, also supported by the Islamic Republic, expanded the war on October 8 (October 16), and since then, the Iranian-backed militants in Iraq and Syria, and the Houthis in Yemen, have turned this into a global conflict." Daniel Hagari described the Islamic Republic as the "largest supporter of terrorism in the world" and stated that the Islamic Republic's "network of terror" "does not only threaten the people of Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria; the Iranian regime fuels the war in Ukraine and beyond." Hagari's reference is to the sale of military drones by the Islamic Republic to Russia, which have been used in the war against Ukraine. In this context, Ukraine has repeatedly reported shooting down drones of the 'Shahed' type. The Israeli army spokesman noted that his country is on high alert, adding: "We have increased our readiness to protect Israel against further aggression from the Islamic Republic and are also prepared to respond." According to Daniel Hagari, "the Israeli defense forces are prepared for all scenarios and will take necessary actions, along with this country's allies, to protect the people of Israel."
