Israeli Army: We Intercepted and Destroyed a Projectile Fired from Lebanon

Witnesses reported hearing an explosion along the southeastern border of Lebanon. According to the report, no group has yet claimed responsibility for any attack from Lebanon. Israel and Hezbollah, Hamas's ally and supported by Iran, have exchanged fire across the border for weeks following Hamas's terrorist attack on Israel on October 7. Other groups, including Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, have also carried out attacks from Lebanon against Israel. Israel has warned that if the disarmament resolution for Hezbollah is not implemented, the likelihood of a regional war exists.
