Israeli Defense Minister Meets with Bipartisan Delegation of American Legislators

Yoav Gallant, the Israeli Defense Minister, hosted a bipartisan delegation from the U.S. House Appropriations Committee at the Ministry of Defense in Tel Aviv on Monday, October 30. Gallant shared a photo of the meeting on social media platform 'X', stating that the achievements of the Israeli army on the southern and northern fronts, the restoration of deterrence power, and important upcoming tasks were discussed. According to the Israeli Defense Minister, the importance of ongoing U.S. support and vital cooperation between the two countries to ensure Israel's defensive position and defeat common enemies 'led by [the Iranian] government' were other key topics of discussion. On October 1, in response to the killing of Hamas, Hezbollah leaders, and a senior commander of the Quds Force by Israel, the Iranian government fired over 180 ballistic missiles at Israel. Several countries, including the United States, Israel, Germany, Serbia, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, and Australia, have recognized Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.
