Israeli Forces Discover Hezbollah's Embedded Weapons in a Mosque

On Saturday, December 1, the Israeli Air Force targeted several members and positions of Hezbollah, accusing the group supported by the Iranian government of violating the ceasefire. The Israeli army announced that Israeli soldiers successfully discovered and seized Hezbollah's embedded weapons in a mosque in southern Lebanon. Over the past 14 months, Israel has repeatedly accused Iranian-backed militant groups, especially Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza, of exploiting civilian infrastructure for military purposes, urging them to end the practice of using civilians as 'human shields.' On Saturday afternoon, the Israeli Air Force targeted a vehicle carrying RPGs, ammunition boxes, and other military equipment, reiterating its commitment to respond severely to any ceasefire violations. Additionally, several other Hezbollah members near a facility belonging to this Iranian proxy group in southern Lebanon were also targeted. Following this attack, Israeli soldiers seized munitions such as grenades and pistols belonging to these Hezbollah members. Israeli fighter jets also targeted a facility housing Hezbollah rocket launchers in southern Lebanon, as well as another Hezbollah vehicle near the group's facilities deep within Lebanese territory. Since the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah was implemented on Thursday, December 1, the Israeli army has responded to any violations of the ceasefire by this Iranian proxy group with heavy attacks. According to the ceasefire agreement, Israeli ground forces are to gradually withdraw from southern Lebanon and hand over control to the Lebanese army. Hezbollah has also committed to withdrawing its forces from southern Lebanon and retreating about 19 kilometers from the Israeli border. Hezbollah began its unilateral rocket and drone attacks on northern Israel one day after Hamas's terrorist attack on Israel on October 7 of last year. In response, Israel carried out severe attacks against this group's positions in Lebanon and Syria, killing hundreds of members of this major Iranian proxy in the region, including many senior leaders and military commanders such as Hassan Nasrallah, Fawad Shukr, Ibrahim Aqil, and Hashem Safi al-Din. Several countries, including the United States, Israel, Germany, Serbia, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, and Australia, have recognized Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.
