Israeli Foreign Minister: The International Community Must Declare the IRGC as the World's Largest Terrorist Organization

Israel Katz, the Israeli Foreign Minister, in an article in the Telegraph, called on the international community to recognize the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as the world's largest terrorist organization, citing the destructive actions of the Islamic Republic in the region and globally. He wrote: "The IRGC is the main driver of the Iranian government's strategy to besiege Israel and proliferate terrorism in the Middle East and the world. The international community, in addition to recognizing the IRGC as the world's largest terrorist organization, must impose more crippling sanctions against the Islamic Republic, as these actions are essential to stop the destabilizing activities of the Iranian government and ensure global security." The Israeli Foreign Minister also noted in the article: "The world must accept that Israel's fight against Hamas is to prevent the establishment of another terrorist entity on our borders by the Iranian government. Terrorism that threatens the entire world and makes countering the ambitions of the Islamic Republic more necessary than ever." Mr. Katz further emphasized: "The dangers of the Islamic Republic extend beyond Israel. The uncontrolled expansionism of the Iranian government derails our efforts to normalize relations with Arab neighbors, undermines global energy security and the fight against international terrorism, jeopardizes global trade, and raises commodity prices." He considered Israel to be at the forefront of the free world's struggle against the siege of the Islamic Republic, adding: "Supporting Israel against the Ayatollahs in Tehran, Sinwar in Gaza, and Nasrallah's Hezbollah in Lebanon is an act of protection for all free countries." The Israeli Foreign Minister concluded by stressing: "The world must recognize that today's battle against the Iranian government in creating a 'ring of fire' across the Middle East may be a precursor to broader confrontations, and the question now is whether the world will heed the warnings before it is too late."
