According to the Jerusalem Post, an Israeli journalist received information from American officials that Washington has offered this compensatory package to Israel to obtain it in exchange for not attacking specific targets in Iran. Previously, Joe Biden, the President of the United States, expressed his opposition to the idea of an Israeli attack on nuclear and oil facilities in Iran. A spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, in response to the Persian section of Voice of America regarding media reports about Washington's proposed package to Israel, dismissed these reports as inaccurate. The Israeli media reported that this alleged package was proposed during negotiations between American and Israeli officials regarding how Israel would retaliate against the Iranian regime's missile attacks. According to this report, the package includes a full guarantee of diplomatic support as well as a military aid package, directly offered in exchange for refraining from attacking specific targets in Iran. The Jerusalem Post reported that Israeli officials responded by saying, 'We take U.S. views into account and listen to them, but we will do whatever is necessary to protect our citizens and Israel's security.' The Israeli military is still consulting with the United States, including U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), on how to respond to the second missile attack by the Iranian regime on Israel that occurred on October 1.
