Israeli media reports that the country used an 'air-to-surface' missile in an attack on an area near Isfahan

According to a Hebrew media report in Israel, the missile used in the attack attributed to Israel on a military base near the city of Isfahan early Friday was an indigenous air-to-surface missile known as 'Rampage.' The Times of Israel, citing the Hebrew-language media outlet 'Kan,' reported that the 'Rampage' missile was identified from photographs and corresponds with the extent of damage caused in the attack. This 4.7-meter (15-foot) missile can also travel at supersonic speeds, making detection and interception using air defense systems like the 'Iron Dome' challenging. Israel has not officially commented on this attack, while the Iranian government has downplayed the incident, insisting that only three small drones—without missiles—were involved in the attack on Isfahan.
