Israeli Media: The Process of Transferring 10 More Hamas Hostages to the Red Cross Has Begun

Hebrew media in Israel report that the process of transferring 10 Hamas hostages to the Red Cross, which were supposed to be released on Tuesday according to a new ceasefire extension agreement, has begun. According to the Times of Israel, 'Channel 13' reported on Tuesday afternoon local time that the released hostages may be handed over to Israel within an hour. Hamas killed about 1,200 people in its attack on Israel on October 7 and took around 240 hostages, including American citizens. The ceasefire extension agreement between Hamas and Israel on Monday extended the cessation of hostilities for two days. According to the ceasefire extension agreement, Hamas is set to release two more groups of hostages on Tuesday and Wednesday. It was previously reported that the Prime Minister of Qatar met on Tuesday in Doha with the heads of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Israel's intelligence agency, Mossad, to discuss strengthening the two-day ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas. Qatar states that negotiations regarding the release of Israeli soldiers will begin after the release of civilians held by Hamas. Officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran have expressed satisfaction with Hamas's attack on October 7 and the killing of about 1,200 people and the taking of around 240 hostages. The United States, the European Union, Japan, and Israel have designated Hamas entirely or parts of it as terrorist organizations.
