JD Vance's Spokesperson Denies Claims About His Efforts to Dissuade Trump from Military Action Against the Islamic Republic

The spokesperson for JD Vance, the U.S. Vice President, stated that the Wall Street Journal's report regarding the Vice President's attempts to dissuade Donald Trump from military action against the Islamic Republic is "not accurate." According to Reuters, Mr. Vance's spokesperson said that the Vice President and the Secretary of State present a range of options, from diplomatic approaches to military actions, to the President without bias or favoritism. Donald Trump warned the Islamic Republic two weeks ago that if it kills protesters, the U.S. will take action against the Iranian government. Two days ago, Mr. Trump stated that the Islamic Republic has crossed a red line by killing protesters. He also mentioned that "Iran is crossing the red line" and that the Islamic Republic wants to negotiate. He said, "We may meet with them. I mean, a meeting is being planned. But we may have to take action due to events that happen before the meeting. However, a meeting is being planned." Following the Wall Street Journal's report, a wave of reactions emerged from current and former U.S. officials. Lindsey Graham, a Republican senator who has recently taken a stance on Iran, called negotiations with the Islamic Republic futile. Senator Graham added that Trump stands bravely with the oppressed people of Iran, just as Ronald Reagan courageously called for the fall of the Berlin Wall. He stated, "We are on the brink of the greatest change in the Middle East in a thousand years." Nikki Haley, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, said, "No negotiations are possible with the Iranian government. If the Iranian government falls, the head of this terrorist snake will fall with it." She added that this development could be a significant achievement for the Trump administration and ultimately pave the way for peace in the Middle East. In this context, hours ago, Mark Levin, a conservative American journalist and member of the advisory board of the Department of Homeland Security, stated that the U.S. President will take decisive military action due to developments in Iran. He added that negotiations are meaningless under the current circumstances and that the survival of the Iranian government represents the greatest missed opportunity in combating terrorism. Mark Levin wrote on social media platform X: "I am convinced that the President will act decisively, powerfully, and militarily; just as he has threatened in recent days." He added: "Trump knows what we all know: if that regime remains, it will be the greatest missed opportunity in history in combating terrorism and an overtly terrorist state. In the context of what is happening in Iran and what is happening to its brave people, diplomacy and negotiation are ridiculous and meaningless words." Donald Trump has warned of imposing a 25% tariff on countries regarding trade with the Islamic Republic.
