According to this statement, Joe Biden reiterated his view on Israeli military operations in Rafah, emphasizing that such operations should not occur without a credible and actionable plan to ensure the safety and protection of civilians. The U.S. President and the Israeli Prime Minister also exchanged views on the current situation in Gaza and the necessity of ensuring humanitarian aid reaches Palestinian civilians. The Times of Israel reported on Thursday evening that the Israeli Prime Minister, after meeting with the CIA Director in Tel Aviv, addressed the issue of hostages and Israeli military operations in Rafah during a 40-minute phone call with the U.S. President. Following this conversation, Netanyahu wrote on his X account: 'I and Israel will not accept a Palestinian state.' Benjamin Netanyahu added: 'My positions are very clear. Israel firmly rejects any pressure from any country to accept an independent Palestinian state and considers direct negotiations between the parties the only permanent solution to the problems with the Palestinians.' He also emphasized: 'Israel insists on its opposition to the establishment of a Palestinian state because recognizing this state after the October 7 massacre would be a significant reward for terrorism and would hinder any future peace.'
