Kalameh: IRGC Agents Arrested Admin of Telegram Channel 'Three Points' in Khorramabad

The Kalameh website reported that Youssef Hasani Tabar, the admin of the Telegram channel 'Three Points' in Khorramabad, was arrested by IRGC agents about two weeks ago. This website, close to Mir Hossein Mousavi, wrote on Sunday, January 14, that Mr. Hasani Tabar had been formally charged at the prosecutor's office about 40 days prior but was 'abducted by two plainclothes agents' from his workplace in the Lorestan governorate and transferred to an unknown location three weeks later. According to Kalameh, after his arrest, Youssef Hasani Tabar realized he had been detained by IRGC agents and was transferred from the agency's detention center to Khorramabad Central Prison following a hunger strike. The report did not mention the charges against Mr. Hasani Tabar. The website reported that on Saturday, January 13, security agents went to Mr. Hasani Tabar's father's home and workplace and 'seized' the mobile phones of his 'family members' and 'friends.' Kalameh added that the agents informed Mr. Hasani Tabar's family that he 'must also confess in a formal manner and introduce himself as hired by others to receive leniency.' Previously, several managers of Telegram channels in Lorestan province had been arrested. Among them, the Iran Human Rights Campaign website reported last month that Sina Ghahlandari, a journalist residing in Kuhdasht in Lorestan province, was detained for 18 days due to 'complaints from local officials and the influence' of the representative of this county and was later released on 'bail.' According to this report, some local officials had filed a complaint against him after he launched a Telegram channel named 'Radio Lorestan' and exposed several cases of 'corruption and embezzlement.' Previously, dozens of managers of Telegram channels in various counties of Iran have been arrested.
