Karaj Revolutionary Court Sentences Two Detained Educators to Imprisonment and Exile

The Karaj Revolutionary Court has separately sentenced two detainees from the educators' protests in Tehran, Fatemeh Tadrisi and Maryam Jalal Hosseini, to six years in prison and two years of exile. According to human rights media, Fatemeh (Majgan) Tadrisi has been sentenced to two years of exile in Zanjan, while Maryam Jalal Hosseini has been sentenced to two years of exile in Ilam. The charges against these two citizens include 'inciting and provoking people with the intent to disrupt security,' 'propaganda against the government,' 'insulting Khamenei,' and 'forming a group with the aim of disrupting security.' According to the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Fatemeh Tadrisi and Maryam Jalal Hosseini were arrested in early Shahrivar and transferred to Kachoui Prison in Karaj. The trial regarding the charges against these two civil activists was held on December 13. Fatemeh Tadrisi and Maryam Jalal Hosseini have a history of previous arrests and judicial confrontations.
