Kuwaiti Newspaper: Islamic Republic Sends Hezbollah Weapons to Syria and Russia

The Kuwaiti newspaper "Al-Jarida" reports that the Islamic Republic of Iran intends to transfer Hezbollah's weapons to Arab tribes supported by the "Syrian regime" in a "complex agreement" and also send arms to Moscow. The Hebrew-language newspaper "Maariv," published in Israel, considers such an agreement a threat to Israel and Ukraine. Another Israeli newspaper, the Jerusalem Post, has also stated that the report from "Al-Jarida" is concerning because the interactions between the Islamic Republic, Russia, the Syrian regime, and Hezbollah benefit Hezbollah and the Islamic Republic's proxy groups. Thanks to this agreement, Hezbollah can replace its old weapons with new ones. The Kuwaiti newspaper also writes that under an agreement with Russia, Hezbollah will surrender large quantities of its old weapons to Arab tribes in Syria in exchange for modern Iranian-made arms. These old weapons include missiles, rifles, machine guns, landmines, and explosives. Estimates suggest that Hezbollah possesses 150,000 missiles, most of which have been illegally supplied by the Islamic Republic over the years. On the other hand, analyses indicate that the Islamic Republic's agreement with Syria puts the U.S. military presence in Syria at risk. Meanwhile, according to "Al-Jarida," the Islamic Republic of Iran has opened Hezbollah's weapon depots to the tribes in eastern Syria and also to Moscow. Thus, Russia, which needs large quantities of weapons to continue the war in Ukraine, can receive munitions and weapons stored since the 2006 Hezbollah-Israel war. Security meetings between the Israeli Prime Minister and Defense Minister regarding Iran, Israeli artillery attacks on Syria; two members of Islamic Jihad were killed in a drone attack, and the Israeli Defense Minister stated that the Islamic Republic has built an airport for attacks on Israel from southern Lebanon.
